Precision Fermentation vs Cell Cultivated: Latest Updates - a NewProtein Special Focus

Cellular agriculture is the production of animal-based products via cell culture. There are two main approaches: precision fermentation (acellular) and cell cultivated or cellular cultivation.
Precision fermentation is more closely aligned to a traditional fermentation such as might be used for wine or beer, microorganisms are genetically modified to produce, the desired product, for example milk proteins such as casein or egg white proteins. Cell cultivation which is a relatively newer approach harvests an animal cell line, for example, beef cells, which are then grown in specific conditions to result in meat or seafood tissues, possibly including a scaffold to achieve textured structure or a product that can be 3D printed.
- Outsourcing Fermentation Capacity: MycoTechnology Inc offers FaaS (Fermentation as a Service) and with Capacitor from Synonym you can discover the operational status of each facility plus Synonym's free-to-use Scaler delivers a customized TEA (Techno-Economic Analysis) to help accelerate that path to market.
