How to Maximize Cultivated Meat Productivity Through In-Situ Viable Cell Density (VCD) Measurement

Process control is essential in cultivated meat production. Hamilton sensors and accessories help overcome the challenges of scaling up cultivated meat production by enabling better process control and optimization with real-time measurement. That's why innovative cultured meat company Meatable has selected Hamilton’s Incyte Arc Sensor to monitor pluripotent pig cells in their process.

Hamilton sensors can monitor viable cell density, pH, dissolved oxygen, and dissolved CO2, and provide:

  • Real-time Data
  • Process Scalability
  • Process Consistency
  • Process Automation

Hamilton sensors can be used to monitor processing conditions during cell culture and in the preparation of growth media, where conductivity and pH sensors can be used to ensure the continuity and reproducibility of the media.

Working with Meatable, Hamilton has produced an Application Note entitled Potential to Maximize Cultivated Meat Productivity Through Viable Cell Density (VCD) In-situ Measurement.  The application note is available for download here, where you will also find further details of the various sensors.
