Fonterra has started to speed up the process of making dairy products with novel fats by working with Nourish Ingredients, a leader in speciality fats and precision fermentation.

The partnership brings together the scientific innovation of Nourish Ingredients in exact fermentation-based animal-like fats and the Co-operative's decades of dairy knowledge, as well as their commitment to meeting the world's food needs on a global scale.

In January 2024, the Fonterra team was the first to try Nourish Ingredients' Creamilux™ product. After this tasting, Fonterra and Nourish Ingredients quickly decided to work together because their goals were similar and they had a good reputation.
