DSM at Vitafoods 2023: Discover End-to-End Solutions Powering a Sustainable Future for Nutrition
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in Health, Nutrition & Bioscience, is to reveal its latest purpose-led concepts for fast-tracked nutrition innovation across all life stages at Vitafoods Europe 2023. Visitors to DSM booth F80 can uncover consumer-inspired, sustainable premix and market-ready solutions for immunity, health from the gut, maternal nutrition, healthy aging and more. At this year’s show, the company will also demonstrate how it is pushing boundaries in consumer convenience and green product development with new innovative format technologies and more sustainable packaging solutions.
Putting the spotlight on its dietary supplement capabilities, DSM’s expert team will be available on stand F80 to discuss its newly launched Health from the Gut (HfG) platform with its market-ready probiotic solutions. Taking a unique science-backed and multi-ingredient approach to innovation, the company’s HfG offering will help brands harness the holistic health benefits of the gut by targeting key pillars of a healthy microbial ecosystem – beyond simply boosting levels of ‘good’ bacteria.
Continuing to put immunity and sustainability center stage, DSM will present turnkey solutions featuring its ampli-D ® and life’sTMOMEGA solutions. ampli-D ® is DSM’s calcifediol product demonstrated to deliver the benefits of the ‘sunshine vitamin’ faster and more effectively.[1] Meanwhile, life’sTMOMEGA is the first and only commercially available plant-based omega-3 providing the health benefits of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in one single, quality source, helping to attract a new generation of environmentally-conscious consumers, as well as those who follow vegan and vegetarian diets.
DSM’s early life nutrition team will also be available to discuss how it can help to develop products for nutritional support across the motherhood journey – from pre-conception through to lactation. As well as highlighting it's evolving maternal nutrition capabilities, the company will showcase its hero ingredients: life’sDHATM and Metafolin®. Sourced from algal oil, life’sDHATM is a sustainable plant-based alternative to fish oil. DSM's algal DHA has been clinically shown to support infant brain and cognitive development and reduce the risk of preterm birth. In particular, life’sDHATM SF55-O200DS is a high-potency solution that enables the equivalent dose of DHA in smaller capsules, ensuring consumers can receive the targeted health benefit in a single, easy-to-consume format. Metafolin® is a readily bioavailable form of folate that is easily absorbed by the body and supports a healthy pregnancy and birth.
Finally, DSM will demonstrate how it is expanding its medical nutrition offering into the healthy aging space – with a new concept to build a strong foundation to support gut, brain, and heart health to be prepared for the years to come.
Designed to inspire innovation that champions healthy aging and the elderly, DSM will also spotlight a solution including CanolaPRO® – a high-quality plant-based protein – an essential nutrient to maintain mobility as we age. This is alongside human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) – complex carbohydrates with emerging science –for next-generation gut health.
