CreateFoods Specialty Inc. has received approval for a CAD$72,000 grant from NRC’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP). The grant will go towards conducting a series of experiments to either validate existing extraction processes or develop new processing conditions of 6 agricultural materials known to be highly desired in the ingredients marketplace or are of immediate interest to CFS’ current partnered customers. This work will identify optimal processing conditions, which may be unique to the raw materials being investigated, to assist in further commercial scale-up by CFS to provide samples to CFS customers for their market assessments.

Our facility goals are to be able to offer the widest range of scope for processing virtually all plant-based raw materials into highly sought-after ingredients.  This work will further confirm our technology and equipment selection is fully optimized for processing not only the plant proteins of today but also into the future as new global plant materials are explored for their health, nutritional, and functional benefits.”
